Network Engineers have identified a hardware issue on a redundant backend customer router (BCR), bcr01.sjc01, which provides private connectivity for your server(s). To prevent an unplanned outage resulting in significant downtime, Engineers will be rebooting the module during a EMERGENCY maintenance window at the time referenced above.
During this maintenance, traffic will be shifted to the redundant device, in order to prevent impact to customer traffic. Some customers may notice a brief period of loss to packets-in-flight as the shift occurs. Public connectivity will not be effected by this maintenance.
Private network services including the following (but not limited to) may be impacted briefly:
- Server to server connectivity on the private network
- PPTP / SSLVPN connectivity to impacted servers
While the maintenance window is set for 2 hours, we expect no downtime.
Again, NO downtime is expected on the public network.
